After viewing the first few bowls thus far, my excitement and enthusiasm level for College football continues to rise steadily. Last second field goals, and amazing catches are just a tiny preview to what is to come the next following weeks. At least I certainly hope so. The top five bowl games that I find most intriguing are all most likely going to be close, in my opinion, I think. I can’t wait to finally see the BCS bowl eligible teams get at it and fight to prove their conference is the toughest. But enough with the jibber-jabber, lets get to my top five most intriguing bowl games.

5.  Outback Bowl: No. 16 Georgia vs. No. 17 Michigan State

I’m not sure if it’s because I wanted both of these teams to win their conference championships or just because I like their uniforms and mascots, but for some reason this bowl really intrigues me. The Spartans have a stellar defense, and the Bulldogs have a pretty good quarterback and running back. It’ll be fun to see how well a good B1G team does against a much improved SEC team. Both teams are arguably better than a couple teams playing in a BCS game, and I just can’t wait to see them both on a field going at it. Bold Prediction: Georgia over Michigan State

4. Maaco Las Vegas Bowl: No. 7 Boise State vs. Arizona State

A lot like my number 5 pick, I am a huge fan of both of these teams uniforms. Very nice looking. However, I’m not picking these bowls by uniform “swagger,” otherwise those Ragin’ Cajuns should of been in the top five no doubt. But no, I picked this game because I believe Arizona State has a chance to upset poor ol’ Boise State. I just feel like Boise State is more focused on moping and still trying to figure out how to state their case that they belong in a BCS game. Well sorry to break it to you Bronco Nation, but when you whoop a lot of bad teams (Besides Georgia), and then lose to your one tough conference competition (TCU), you’re not going to get any respect. Brock Osweiler will have a great throwing game, and hopefully pull off the upset! Bold Prediction: Arizona State over Boise State

3. Allstate BCS National Championship: No.1 LSU vs. No.2 Alabama

The absolute only reason I’m putting this so high is because of the value of this bowl game. It’s the biggest game in college football. Both of these teams have the best defenses in the nation, and love to play some rough football. Their last meeting ended 9-6 in OT. Yeah it was pretty boring, but I don’t think that will be the case this time. I think LSU’s offense has improved and that nifty Les Miles will find a way to finish as the only unbeaten and send the Rollin Tide back home with their ridiculously boring uniforms. Bold Prediction: LSU over Alabama

2. Rose Bowl Game presented by Vizio: No. 5 Oregon vs. No. 10 Wisconsin

It’s the Gran’ Daddy of them all. It’s Chip Kelly and Oregon’s third BCS bowl game in a row over the last three seasons. Both teams had to win their conference championship to get to this position and both had a rough regular season at times. I expect a high scoring game most likely after looking at both of their offenses. For Oregon they have multiple threats in LaMichael James, Darron Thomas and freshman sensation DeAnthony Thomas. However they will have to hold Wisconsin’s Russell Wilson and Monte Ball to less offense if they want to win this game. Bold Prediction: Oregon over Wisconsin.

1. Tostitos Fiesta Bowl: No. 3 Oklahoma State vs. No. 4 Stanford

This will be a fun game to watch. They both could have argued a case to be in the national championship, however in the end they both didn’t get the chance and instead will be having their own championship game. Both have extremely talented quarterbacks in Andrew Luck and Brandon Weeden, whom have each had only one game where they had a few mistakes and loss the game. I expect it to be a very close game but the final winner will come down to who has the ball last. Bold Prediction: Stanford vs. Oklahoma State

So those are my top five most intriguing bowls for this post season! I hope they all turn out to be as exciting as I have predicted, but no matter what I know there will be a few games that meet these expectations! Go Ducks!
