BIG SWEEP IN ARIZONA

I’m not sure if it’s because of the hype I tried to bring to the table or because the Ducks are truly an elite team in the Pac 12, but after watching that Oregon vs. Arizona basketball game, I do know this team has heart.

Posting a conference win against a team like that should really boost the squad’s confidence. The confidence that tells them that they can win big games and can be a really good team. The ability to hold onto the lead in a game like that was tremendous and the fact that they did it in Tuscon was even that much more impressive. After wining the game, this marked the first time the Oregon Ducks have beaten both the Arizona Wildcats and the Arizona State Sun Devils on their courts since the year that both the Arizona teams joined the conference.

Following the victory, the Ducks currently are only sitting one game behind the Pac 12 co-leaders which happens to be one of the team whose only loss came against the Ducks, the Stanford Cardinals. Tied with them at the top is the California Golden Bears who came into the Matthew Knight Arena and totally whooped Oregon, winning 77-60.

Up next for the Ducks will be the Trojans of USC this Thursday evening at 5:30 (P.T.). USC is currently the only team without a conference win and lets hope that the Ducks don’t become the ones to end that current streak.
