CIVIL WAR ON THE HARDWOOD

After rallying back to beat the UCLA Bruins after trailing by 13 at the half, the Oregon Ducks really proved not only to have heart but to have the talent to make a comeback of that large of a margin.

With that win, the Ducks currently are tied at the top in first place with the California Golden Bears. However no one should sit and rest in that spot because right behind them are four other teams who can catch right up with just one loss from the Ducks and win for themselves.

This upcoming weekend Oregon will be hosting their conference rival the Oregon State Beavers at Matthew Knight arena. This game will be crucial for the Ducks because not only will it make them feel better about beating their biggest competitor, but it will also keep them on top in the Pac 12. Oregon State is currently 3-5 in conference, and is currently on a two game win streak after beating both southern California teams in USC and UCLA.

A note to remember is that last year Oregon swept Oregon State in both of their two games against eachother, and the year before that it was Oregon State who swept the duo of games. This year the Ducks would like to extend that win streak as they host the Beavers on their home court and have been particularly good at home with only two losses on the season. I’m not sure whether it’s because of the exquisite hardwood on the floor that distracts the other teams focus, or the Pit crew, or even the sheer fact that the Ducks love winning on their home court.

The game will be at 3:30 P.M. (Pacific time) at the Matthew Knight Arena. Go Ducks!
